The main way the SCA incorporates the Middle Ages
into its group management structure is by utilizing historical terms for its offices and officers.
The offices and officers have different names than you will find in 21st Century organizations, but their
responsibility areas are basically the same. Anyone who understands the functions of various parts of a
modern organization merely needs to understand what
the SCA
office or officer's equivalent is in modern terminology.
Following is a chart of SCA offices and officers
along with the heraldic symbols associated with them and their correlation to parts of modern organizations.
